Dearest Diary,

Welcome to the PB Lyfe 9/11 Memorial Tournament gallery.  This event was quite interesting.  Almost Famous’ buddies GNARKILL were there, as well as those freaky B-Cool guys.  Almost Famous was repped hard by all the video and photo media presence out there.  I believe 75% of all media at the event was from Almost Famous.

This event had everything, from crazy people to flying pandas.  Sure, getting into the military base may have been slightly difficult, but in the end it all worked out.  Of course… I did get shot a few times.  Unfortunately, my standard shield, John, was almost always on the other side of the field doing video for B-Cool, so I couldn’t hide behind him for many of the games.

Dear Diary, remind me not to drive north from Camp Pendleton again.  I got stopped by border patrol.  Yippee.

Alrighty Diary.  This is about as far as I’m gonna go with this.  I’ll talk to you later, honey.  My next event should be Union Day… and you know those are always fun.  Well, I’ll talk to you later.  Say hi to John’s diary when you get the chance.

Yours Forever,

Josh

Dear Diary,

Let’s talk about the ASG tourney from October 1st.  Now, I know you really wanted to go, but we just couldn’t pay your entry fee.  So instead, I’ll tell you all about it.  As always, I woke up in the morning, jammed an Eggo in my mouth, and drove to Action Star Games in Colton.

Upon arriving at the event, I found my good buddies over at Malicious Intentions and met up with some of the teams playing the event.  After signing in and getting everything ready, I hit the field and started to take some pics.

Diary… I got shot a LOT at this event.  I got shot more times at this event since I had at any other day of paintball since Huntington Beach.  My camera was shot a couple times.  My face was shot a couple times.  My body was shot more times than I care to count.  And I got a particularly painful shot on my kneecap from my buddy Louis.  Thanks, man.

This event was hot.  The temperature was on the warm side, and the games were full of heat.  You could really see the fire in people’s eyes.  When all was said and done though, we could always take a chill pill with the ice cream truck.

Well, Diary, this is where I say good bye.  I should be seeing you later with a few more events.  Love you much.  Call me.

 Love,

Josh

Dear Diary,

I am writing to inform you that your monthly subscription to “Unicorns Gone Wild” has been terminated.  That said, WELCOME TO THE BLITZ GALLERY!  I woke up early in the morning, put an Eggo in my mouth, and set off down the bumpiest road in existence towards SC Village in Chino.  The smell wasn’t too horrible for the event, so breathing wasn’t that hard.

The weather was perfect for the event.  Nice and cool in the morning, and it didn’t get too hot in the afternoon.  The pump play was fun, and the Blitz team’s format for this tournament was the best I’ve seen for any pump challenge.  Two fields were set up right next to each other using one Xball field cut down the center.  This called for a nice and compact game, as well as fast paced pump action.

This was my first time hanging out with the Blitz guys, but they’re really cool people.  They were on the ball with scoring, and I didn’t notice any reffing issues that needed to be addressed.  All in all, they put on a solid tournament, and I look forward to shooting their series next year.  Also… I’m not just saying all these nice things because they fed me, but that’s definitely a bonus.

Dearest Diary, I’m sorry I’m neglecting you at the moment.  Galleries will be coming in from me on a fairly weird schedule.  I’m in the middle of a seven week period that includes six paintball events, cleaning my house, moving, and job searching… so things are a little hectic.  However, it’s crunch time right now, and I should have a few galleries coming out in no time at all.

 Many X’s and O’s,

Your Beloved:  Josh

Dear Diary,

I had to make some ends the night before shooting a kiddie party. Don’t laugh you would do the same. I had Mr. Casey head out on the Saturday to get video footage also a message from Omar from team Good for Nothing to Casey “Where is the event #2 video!” My primary goal was to get pictures and an occasional goofy interview.

Well the morning started with a banana muffin and a Starbucks double shot tall boy from the gas station. There is something about gas station muffins. They are always moist. Got to Camp P in Oceanside Ca. at decent hour signed in and hit the field. I thought there was a lot of sideline space not to get shot as much, but I was wrong. The first game I took 2 to my big camera and 1 to my video camera and a number of hits to the body. WTF!!!! I even saw this one player looking at me and I was waving no Mother F’er after string of paintballs struck myself and my cameras. Setting aside being shot all day there were highlights. One was watching Cesar Reguindin father of Phillip and Peter Reguindin run down the last guy in the snake. Cesar I have video of it so look out for it. It is always cool to see SD Reign and the boys doing work. Oh big thanks to Jay from 24hr Vinyl for hooking me up with some AF stickers which I ran out of. How can I forget My boys from Chula Vista The Heat. They did quite well taking 1st and from the looks of it they should take the series title. You guys make AF proud even though you guys don’t have our logo on your jersey your still part of the AF family.

XOXO,

John
