What is Union Day?
It is a gathering of paintball players of ALL skill levels, from the beginner to the divisional player. There’s paintball; there’s music; there’s good time fun all around.
Sign ups begin at 9AM. SPACE IS LIMITED. All names go into a little red sand pail we ”borrowed” from a toddler. Names are drawn at random to assemble teams, ensuring a good mix of skill levels. Then we let the games begin. PSP or NPPL format — because we are of the people. we let YOU, the people, choose on event day. We’ll be running games until you run out of paint or management tells us to go home because the park is closing and our moms want us home.
Almost Famous Paintball photographers will be covering the event so you will exponentially increase your chances of getting that paintball player glamour shot most teams pay good scratch for for dirt cheap.
You can check out the wrap-up of a recent Union Day here.
Yeah, but how much is it?
It’s $35 if you pre-register ($40 if you sign up on event day if space is available) and that gets you entry into the park, entry into Union Day, pictures from Almost Famous Paintball, and possibly the best day of your life ever (not a guarantee, but certainly a possibility). Need a scholarship? Check this out.
Come one, come all
Beginners: This is a great chance for you to play in a tournament setting without having to be part of a team. We encourage beginners to come out and try some tournament ball. We are friendly, helpful, and the opposite of whatever buttholes are.
Advanced Players: Help your paintball community flourish by playing, sharing your wisdom with newbies, and possibly scouting new talent for your teams. No team required. This is all about playing, hanging out, and not stressing out about it.
The Rules
- You don’t have a say about which team you play on. The Union Day is about mixing it up, so everyone can learn from one another. If you’re looking to practice with your team, this event isn’t for you (which is not to say you’re not welcome. It just means you don’t get to play with your team.)
- Have fun and be respectful. The paintball world, and the world at large, is full of buttholes. Don’t be one of those guys. Respect all skill levels and be helpful to the newbies.
- Space is limited so sign up early or risk becoming a walk-on. Who knew there were so many joiners?!?! (Save $5 if you pre-register!)
